It has been a long while since my last LEGO® Haul. I think the last one was May 2024. To be clear, I have not been LEGO®-celibate by any means. However, for the last several months, I have only been purchasing odds and ends. You know, a PAB order here, a Pick-and-Build box there, the odd liquidation set, that sort of thing. Certainly nothing that qualified as a “haul”. But, the bug hit this weekend. As I write this, there’s a great GWP… but the price point to get it is high. Consequently, I shopped, made my March 2025 LEGO® haul, and got the GWP.

I greatly enjoy the Botanicals collection. The NPU (nice parts usage) in the series never disappoints. As far as GWPs go, this one is fairly substantial. It looks nice, and it comes with a $33 CAD value. However, you have to spend $195 CAD to get it. I spent quite a bit of time in the LEGO® Store browsing to fill that basket… I only went in with one surefire purchase. I’ve been saving the Creator 3-in-1 Medieval Dragon for a good GWP. I’m looking forward to the build techniques and photography session on this one.

LEGO Medieval Dragon

I paired the Medieval Dragon with Lloyd’s Green Forest Dragon from Ninjago. I saw a Medieval Dragon mod online that used the wings from the Forest Dragon. I might want to try that out. While I was inspecting the Forest Dragon box, I noticed the Dragonian Scout minifig for the first time. It might work for growing my orc army. While my orcs are pretty much all olive green, I recently rediscovered some red, orc-like characters from Nexo Knights in my Minifigure bin. Who said I can’t have green and red orcs?

This led me to perusing other Ninjago sets. I decided to pick up another one that included more Dragonian minifigures. This one was a bit of an impulse buy. The Dragonian Storm Village was not even remotely on my wish list before today. But, it comes with two more Dragonian characters. I’m also interested by the Dragonian logo on the build… it is similar in style to the orc shields and flags I already have. It could be the logo for a different tribe of red orcs to complement my green ones. On top of that, I was inspired to make a new custom character using elements from the Morro minifig.

The final purchase in my March 2025 LEGO® Haul was mostly another Minifigure purchase. I picked up the Horizon Adventures set. I did not buy the last one. When I started my recent Minifigure Monday Viking characters, I regretted that. The Aloy minifig jumped up in price after the set retired. While considering ordering Aloy on Bricklink lat last year, I found out this new set was coming out. So, I waited. Varl also lends himself to my Viking project. The builds are not keepers for me, but the build techniques look educational.

Finally, I also acquired the tote bag GWP. By itself, it would not have prompted me to buy anything. But, as an add on to the purchase I was making, I’ll take it. After opening it at home, I was disappointed. I was expecting an actual tote bag that I could use when I go shopping. This thing is tiny… It’s like it was made for one paperback book…

I thought about some other sets, namely single, large sets. The new T. rex Skeleton was one… Dungeons and Dragons also remains on my wish list. But, I’m not feeling large sets in general these days. If I’m going to buy sets, I want them to offer me something for my custom builds. So, I bought some smaller sets with techniques and parts I’m interested in. Have you made a haul recently? Do you have any opinions on my March 2025 LEGO® Haul selections? Let me know in the comments or reach out on social media.

Until next time,

-Tom

  1. My wife has a big list of new/upcoming sets:
    T-Rex Fossil
    Beauty & the Beast Castle
    Lilo & Stitch Beach House
    Heihei
    Medieval Dragon

That’s without all the older stuff she still wants!

For me, it would only be Ferrari SF24 F1 car (both Technic and Speed Champions versions). Possibly the Nigel Mansell Williams car too.

    1. Sounds like you guys will have quite the backlog soon 😂

      1. There’s already quite a backlog, these would just make it even bigger 😀
