About True North Bricks

True North Bricks is a Canadian LEGO® fan media site. Founded in 2016, we strive to bring you the latest LEGO® news and deals. Additionally, we promote building as a hobby by sharing set reviews, MOC ideas, and showcasing LEGO® inspired art. From 2019 through 2023, True North Bricks was a recognized LEGO® fan media site (RLFM) through the LEGO® Ambassador Network (LAN). In 2023, the decision was made to withdraw from LAN and the RLFM program.

TOM

I am a Finnish-born Canadian and adult fan of LEGO® (AFOL). I founded True North Bricks shortly after leaving my dark ages in 2016. Ultimately, my goal was to connect with other Canadian AFOLs and share my passion for the hobby and all it inspires me to create. I was a LEGO® community ambassador for four years before making the decision to resign and return to a simpler enjoyment of the LEGO® hobby.

FRANK

Hey fellow brick fans! If the article you read had too many puns and sassy comments, chances are I wrote it. I happily joined TrueNorthBricks.com in May 2021 to help Tom out. The themes you’ll find in my LEGO® world include Architecture, Marvel, Harry Potter and – fave of all – Modulars! Minifigures are also my jam and I love a good complete collection of them. I’m a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and live with my Partner in lovely Nova Scotia. When I’m not building with plastic bricks, you’ll find me reading, running, making art, cooking or travelling. Thanks for reading and as always, keep on brickin’. 🧱

KRISTA

I am a relatively new AFOL. Although I used LEGO® to help manage stress during university, I left it behind when I joined the working world. I found my way back at the BrickCan LEGO® Convention in 2016. My partner and I formed MILUG (Mid Island LEGO® Users Group) with another AFOL that same weekend. LEGO® is an important part of my mindfulness practice to help me manage my mental health. I am also passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion issues, am part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and live on the unceded, ancestral, and traditional territories of the Snuneymuxw First Nation where I spend my non-LEGO® time enjoying the outdoors.
