August 2021 Calendar Rundown (Updated)

The LEGO® Group has not released a store calendar on their Canadian site since March 2021. Consequently, I have not been publishing the monthly rundown. However, this month is shaping up with a few great GWPs (gift-with-purchase). Originally, only American calendar was available. As such, all images in this article are from the US version. The Canadian version was only available in French at the time I updated this article, so prices are now correct in Canadian funds.

AUGUST 1

New sets come out for City, Creator, Friends, Minecraft, Ninjago, Vidiyo, Marvel Infinity Saga, Marvel “What If…?”, Star Wars, and Technic. Additionally, the new Volkswagen Camper Van hits store shelves. You might be able to find them in store as early as July 29.
VIPs gain early access to the LEGO® Ideas Sailboat GWP (40487). This requires a large purchase… $265 in Canada… This promotion lasts until August 29 (or while quantities remain) in store and online.

Spending $55 CAD or more on Marvel sets earns you a free Shang-Shi and the Great Protector polybag (30454). Offer valid in store and online until August 15.

From August 1 – 31, spending $80 or more on Classic sets gets you a free Masters’ Book of Secrets (the image above is from the American ad, and the price point is incorrect for Canadian shoppers).

AUGUST 4

LEGO® Ideas Sailboat GWP (40487) becomes available to non-VIPs online and in store until August 29 (or while quantities last).

AUGUST 16

Spending $55 CAD or more earns you a free Super Mario Fuzzy and Mushroom Platform Expansion pack. Offer valid online and in store until September 5 (or while quantities last).

Personally, I am looking forward to August 1 set releases and the fact that they coincide with the Ideas Sail Boat GWP. That ship looks really fun!
