LEGO® Marvel Superheroes What If

LEGO® Marvel Superheroes What If…? Sets

Summer 2021 offered little in the way of DC Comics LEGO® sets. However, Marvel is certainly packing a punch. Earlier this summer, we got the epic Daily Bugle. Shortly after, the LEGO® Group announced six sets based on the Infinity Saga. Last week, the Bro Thor’s New Asgard announcement hit the airwaves, along with three Spider-Man sets. Today, we get more superheroes news. This time, the reveal includes the LEGO® Marvel Superheroes What If…? sets. The kits are based on the new animated series on Disney+ which imagines alternate realities for key characters from the Marvel cinematic universe. Interestingly, True North Bricks received a pre-release copy of one of the sets direct from the LEGO® Group. You can catch the unboxing below.

According to the every trusty internet, Season One of What If…? focuses on Peggy Carter becoming the original super soldier instead of Steve Rogers. I always confuse Steve Rogers from Marvel with Steve Trevor from DC (as evidenced in the video above). The series features the voice talents of many of the original actors from the films, including the late Chadwick Boseman who recorded his segments prior to his untimely death. The series is an interesting concept and the resulting Minifigures in this series look amazing. I am not crazy about more mechs… but I will reserve judgement for now and give the sets a try. Check back soon for the Captain Carter and the Hydra Stomper review soon! What are your thoughts on the LEGO® Marvel Superheroes What If…? sets? Share them in the comments below or reach out on social media.

Until next time,

-Tom
