Summer 2021 City Sets from the LEGO® Group

News of the summer 2021 City sets has started to surface and wildlife fans are in for a real treat. In 2017, The LEGO® Group released a Jungle Exploration theme with sets like the Jungle Halftrack Mission and Jungle Exploration Site. Each came with animal figurines. This new wave returns City Minifigures to the wilderness. Consequently, it features a wildlife rescue theme with many new animals. The initial information consists of product pictures from retailers in Europe. However, all details are now confirmed by the LEGO® Group. Sadly, it looks like Canadian LEGO® fans are in for a repeat of last year where Europe received sets earlier than us. The Canadian release date is August 1, 2021. Conversely, the European retailers advertise a July 2021 release.

I love LEGO® animal figurines. As such, these new City sets have me excited. I missed out on the last elephant figurines from the Orient Express theme during my dark ages. I have often thought of buying one on the secondary market. However, prices are a bit exorbitant. Consequently, I cannot wait to get my hands on these! I also spent a year conducting research on lions in South Africa. The 2020 female lion in the Safari Off-Roader set was amazing. Now we get a male and a cub too!
