Summer 2020 Creator Pics

A while ago, I scoured the internet for pictures of the upcoming Creator 3-in-1 sets. They gave a decent first look. However, the LEGO® Group recently released official pictures and set specifics. Additionally, with the last round of pictures, I conducted some polls on Instagram to gauge interest. I have included those results below as well. Summer 2020 Creator concluding thoughts…

Of these three sets, the Space Rover Explorer and Pirate Ship intrigue me the most. However, only the Pirate Ship is a personal must-have. It seems as though most respondents in my Instagram polls agree. The ship is similar to the recent Pirates of Barracuda Bay in that you construct an inn and can turn it into a pirate ship. The alternate build of a skull island looks decent as well. Additionally, while not named, this set features a new pirate captain and crew.

The price point for this wave of Creator sets is spot on. I am happy to note that all of them are under my current average cost-per-brick. However, on the down side the kits do not come with many Minifigures compared to the brick count. I suppose you can’t have it all. What are your thoughts on these summer 2020 Creator pics? Until next time,

-Tom

  1. The pirate scull island thing, looks a lot like the scull dungeon set for Ninjago Season 13. Just pointing that out. It’s really cool looking. 😎
