It’s one of those times of the year where LEGO® news rains like a storm and I just can’t keep up. Alongside new GWPs, City animals, and Jurassic World dinosaurs, we’ve now got official confirmation the LEGO® Barad-dur is coming soon. No doubt, Lord of the Rings fans are thrilled by this news. To make the deal even sweeter, purchasing the set from June 1 – 7 scores you a special Fell Beast GWP.

As with many other large Icons sets, the LEGO® Barad-dur is coming sooner for Insiders than the general public. The set launches three days earlier alongside the Fell Beast GWP. I suspect this GWP will be popular, so it risks running out of stock before the general public can even buy the set. As such, if you are not a LEGO® Insider and you want this GWP, I suggest signing up. Barad-Dur looks amazing, but I will probably skip this set all the same. I don’t have space for a set this large. I am trying to be more discerning in my set selection by only buying things that will further my MOC ideas in the future. While I love Lord of the Rings, I have no plans for a custom Middle Earth.
