Seventeen new summer 2022 City sets were revealed this morning by retailers in Europe. Additionally, pricing information popped up at some Canadian retailers too. Consequently, we’ve got a lot to look at today, and there are a number of interesting items here too. Fans of the Stuntz theme get a second wave. We also get some farm related kits with some great animals. Sadly, while Europe gets these sets in June, it looks like North American fans will have to wait until August to get most of these again. Only two come out in June.
NOTE: This article was updated after publication with accurate set names and new set additions.
STUNT BIKES
The summer 2022 City wave includes three new stunt bikes. These add to the collection already released in the fall 2021 wave. I won’t spend too much time hashing these out. You can expect a $9.99 price tag for each.

ELECTRIC SCOOTERS AND CHARGING STATION
- SET #: 40526
- COST: $16.99 CAD
- BRICK COUNT: 50
- MINIFIGURES: 3
- RELEASE DATE: June 1, 2022
- COST/BRICK: $0.34 (expensive bricks)
- BRICK-TO-FIG RATIO: 17 bricks/fig (excellent fig count)
- NOTES: This is one of the small minifig packs at the LEGO® store. Consequently, you are essentially buying three Minifigures, not a set. The cost/brick is not a great indicator of value here. Compared to CMF minifig blind bags, it is a little expensive though.

SPACE RIDE AMUSEMENT TRUCK
- SET #: 60313
- COST: $64.99 CAD
- BRICK COUNT: 433
- MINIFIGURES: 3
- RELEASE DATE: June 1, 2022
- COST/BRICK: $0.15 (satisfactory value)
- BRICK-TO-FIG RATIO: 144 bricks/fig (good fig count)
- NOTES: Space Ride Amusement Truck is the only large set from the summer 2022 City wave that comes out in June in North America. Amusement park builders will likely enjoy this one!

TRAIN STATION
- SET #: 60335
- COST: $129.99 CAD
- BRICK COUNT: 907
- MINIFIGURES: 6
- RELEASE DATE: August 1, 2022
- COST/BRICK: $0.14 (average value)
- BRICK-TO-FIG RATIO: 151 bricks/fig (good fig count)
- NOTES: It is about time we got a new train station from the LEGO® Group. However, it looks like this one might lack a little substance compared to previous models. The inclusion of road plates decreases brick count quite a bit in my experience. Plus, images of this set make it appear quite narrow, also in line with road plate buildings. In this case, the bus and truck don’t appeal to me. I wish those bricks went to a more detailed station.

FREIGHT TRAIN
- SET #: 60336
- COST: $239.99 CAD
- BRICK COUNT: 1153
- MINIFIGURES: 6
- RELEASE DATE: August 1, 2022
- COST/BRICK: $0.21 (expensive bricks)
- BRICK-TO-FIG RATIO: 127 bricks/fig (good fig count)
- NOTES: The cost-per-brick seems high, but remember, you are getting motors, battery packs, controllers, etc.

EXPRESS PASSENGER TRAIN
- SET #: 60337
- COST: $239.99 CAD
- BRICK COUNT: 764
- MINIFIGURES: 6
- RELEASE DATE: August 1, 2022
- COST/BRICK: $0.31 (expensive bricks)
- BRICK-TO-FIG RATIO: 127 bricks/fig (good fig count)
- NOTES: While this set appears expensive on first glance, keep in mind you get motorized part, a controller, and train tracks. A set like this does not lend itself well to a cost/brick analysis. You get a good number of Minifigures with some new designs. Additionally, there is another wheelchair character.

SMASHING CHIMPANZEE STUNT LOOP
- SET #: 60338
- COST: $89.99 CAD
- BRICK COUNT: 226
- MINIFIGURES: 3
- RELEASE DATE: August 1, 2022
- COST/BRICK: $0.40 (expensive bricks)
- BRICK-TO-FIG RATIO: 75 bricks/fig (excellent fig count)
- NOTES: Again, the cost/brick is high here. Ramps and wind-up motorbikes probably add to the cost. However, the looped track pieces present and interesting new LEGO® brick. I am curious to see what interesting-piece-use people come up with for these in MOCs. Large, arced windows pop first to my mind.

DOUBLE LOOP STUNT ARENA
- SET #: 60339
- COST: $199.99 CAD
- BRICK COUNT: 598
- MINIFIGURES: 7
- RELEASE DATE: August 1, 2022
- COST/BRICK: $0.33 (expensive bricks)
- BRICK-TO-FIG RATIO: 85 bricks/fig (excellent fig count)
- NOTES: More ramps, motorbikes, and curved track pieces leading to an expensive cost/brick here. Interestingly, this set will double your orange track in conjunction with 60338, while getting you some green to boot. However, you get a great number of minifigs.

THE BLADE STUNT CHALLENGE
- SET #: 60340
- COST: $44.99 CAD
- BRICK COUNT: 154
- MINIFIGURES: 2
- RELEASE DATE: August 1, 2022
- COST/BRICK: $0.29 (expensive bricks)
- BRICK-TO-FIG RATIO: 77 bricks/fig (excellent fig count)
- NOTES: meh.

THE KNOCKDOWN STUNT CHALLENGE
- SET #: 60341
- COST: $44.99 CAD
- BRICK COUNT: 117
- MINIFIGURES: 2
- RELEASE DATE: August 1, 2022
- COST/BRICK: $0.38 (expensive bricks)
- BRICK-TO-FIG RATIO: 59 bricks/fig (excellent fig count)
- NOTES: meh.

THE SHARK ATTACK STUNT CHALLENGE
- SET #: 60342
- COST: $44.99 CAD
- BRICK COUNT: 122
- MINIFIGURES: 3
- RELEASE DATE: August 1, 2022
- COST/BRICK: $0.37 (expensive bricks)
- BRICK-TO-FIG RATIO: 41 bricks/fig (excellent fig count)
- NOTES: A little less meh. You acquire two sharks and a skeleton with this set.

CHICKEN HENHOUSE
- SET #: 60344
- COST: $14.99 CAD
- BRICK COUNT: 101
- MINIFIGURES: 1
- OF INTEREST: two brown chickens
- RELEASE DATE: August 1, 2022
- COST/BRICK: $0.15 (satisfactory value)
- BRICK-TO-FIG RATIO: 101 bricks/fig (very good fig count)
- NOTES: those are some HUGE chicken eggs… are we sure this isn’t an ostrich farm?

FARMER’S MARKET VAN
- SET #: 60345
- COST: $59.99 CAD
- BRICK COUNT: 310
- MINIFIGURES: 3
- RELEASE DATE: August 1, 2022
- COST/BRICK: $0.19 (passable value)
- BRICK-TO-FIG RATIO: 103 bricks/fig (very good fig count)
- NOTES: A preliminary look suggests this set does not stray far from other food trucks in terms of design. However, it looks like a fun set all the same.

BARN AND FARM ANIMALS
- SET #: 60346
- COST: $89.99 CAD
- BRICK COUNT: 230
- MINIFIGURES: 4
- OF INTEREST: Squirrel, pigs, sheep, and cows
- RELEASE DATE: August 1, 2022
- COST/BRICK: $0.37 (expensive bricks)
- BRICK-TO-FIG RATIO: 41 bricks/fig (excellent fig count)
- NOTES: This is a 4+ set, but I think many adults (myself included) will pick it up. Finally, the LEGO® cow figurine is back. Additionally, we get a lamb, a calf, and piglets! Loving the extra fluff for the sheep.

GROCERY STORE
- SET #: 60347
- COST: $89.99 CAD
- BRICK COUNT: 404
- MINIFIGURES: 5
- RELEASE DATE: August 1, 2022
- COST/BRICK: $0.22 (expensive bricks)
- BRICK-TO-FIG RATIO: 81 bricks/fig (excellent fig count)
- NOTES: If you missed out on the pea costume minifig a couple years ago, the costume is back! It is also high time LEGO® City produced a grocery store. Every city needs one! However, this set gets even better. The set includes the first Minifigure with an amputation, and transgender flag inspired torso.

Closing thoughts on the summer 2022 City sets…
There is a lot of fun stuff in this City wave. I am looking forward to getting the farm animals. I do not have sheep or cows yet. And a grocery store? My city still doesn’t have one of those. I can’t say the Stutz sets appeal to me, but some of the parts included are interesting. In general, the sets come at a high cost/brick, but that is not unusual for the City theme. You generally get a good Minifigure count to make up for it. What do you think of the summer 2022 City sets? Let us know in the comments below or reach out on social media.
NOTE: Three more sets were officially revealed after this article was published. You can read about the LEGO® City Missions sets by clicking here.
Until next time,

What is your source for the Canadian prices? $60 seems expensive for the 30 euro Vegetable Truck set?
I thought it seemed off, but that is the information I received. Until something appears on the LEGO site, it is all subject to change.
