Almost a month ago, I reported on the LEGO® Minifigures Series 25 leak. It revealed the first rough image of the upcoming characters. Now, thanks to a German retailer, we have clear images of all the characters and packaging. Of course, the official English names for each character remain unknown. Consequently, you can expect the names presented below to be close to the official names the LEGO® Group will announce in due time.

The Night Lord returns…

  • Night Lord
  • Harpy
  • Noir Detective
  • Barbarian

My thoughts:
Of these four characters, the Night Lord (a.k.a. Basil the Bat Lord in some countries) is my top pick. I still have my Night Lord’s Castle (6097) from 1997. The Night Lord was my favourite LEGO® villain from childhood. Of almost equal interest is the Barbarian. This character will look great in the Viking Village despite not actually being a Viking.

Of Paralympians and Ceratopsians…

  • Triceratops Costume Guy
  • Mushroom Hat Kid
  • Gamer Girl
  • Paralympics Athlete

My thoughts:
I am not as keen on these four as I am for the Night Lord and Barbarian. However, I want to build my own LEGO® Jurassic Park. Consequently, the triceratops costume will go great there. I’m also excited about the paralympian. While we’ve seen prosthetic legs before, this one features both the right and left legs. That allows people more customization for sig figs.

The GOAT…

  • Dog Groomer
  • Goat Herder
  • Train Costume Kid
  • Weightlifter

My thoughts:
It goes without saying that the Goat Herder is my top pick here. As someone who missed out on the original LEGO® goat, and who collects LEGO® animals, I am thrilled this figurine is back. I will probably get more than one of these. Equally interesting here is the new Afghan Hound. I love the little kettlebell with the weightlifter too… but these four characters are more about accessories than Minifigures for me.

LEGO® Minifigures Series 25 releases on January 1, 2024. As usual, expect a $5.99 CAD price tag for these at primary retail locations. Given that they come in boxes similar to Marvel Series 2, I will be buying mine through a reseller (Emmett’s Toy Chest) to ensure I get the characters I want. I’m still on the fence about collecting them all… perhaps I will just for the purposes of a review here on the blog. Otherwise, there are a few must haves for me mentioned above. Many of you shared your thoughts concerning LEGO® Minifigures Series 25 when I shared the leaked image. But now that you have seen the clearer images, have your opinions changed? Will you collect them all, or just select characters? Let me know what you think in the comments or reach out on social media.

Until next time,

-Tom
