I usually wait for the LEGO® Group to officially announce sets before I report on them… But I’m too excited about this one. For those who read True North Bricks regularly, you know I’ve mentioned this set a few times. It was the subject of a LEGO® x Target contest back in 2022 whereby three past 10k submissions from LEGO® Ideas got a second wind. In August of the same year, this set came out the winner. I’ve been eagerly waiting for the set to come out, pointing out how much I want it every time I do an Ideas update. Now, we get a first look through some low-res photos posted online. Get ready, the LEGO® Ideas Viking Village was revealed in France today.

I really wish the LEGO® Group had been more on the ball with this info… I have not even heard whispers of a press kit yet. Hi-res photos would reveal more details and give the reveal a little more ‘umf’. But once I saw these photos online, I could not unsee them. Additionally, the low quality photos have maintained my interest in this offering. It doesn’t look that far off from the LEGO® Ideas submission seen below.
The Viking Village is a Target exclusive in the United States. However, here in Canada we should be able to acquire it through all the usual channels.
