BLACKTRON CRUISER
Similar to the 2022 Forest Hideout, the Blacktron Cruiser is a recreation of a classic LEGO® set from the 1980s. In this case, it replicates 6894. This cruiser will go exceptionally well with last year’s 90th anniversary Galaxy Explorer. The Blacktron Cruiser is a substantial GWP to boot. It has a $39.99 CAD value! In order to get one, you need to spend at least $250 in store or online between January 1 and 14, 2023. Of course, GWPs like this have a history of selling out before the run is scheduled to end. If you want one, I’d jump on that boat fast just in case. Here are the set details:

LUNAR NEW YEAR VIP ADD-ON PACK
These VIP add-on packs are a little hit an miss in my opinion. In fact, I was originally uninterested in this one. However, on close inspection of parts seen in the image below, I might change my mind. The polybag includes some interesting bricks. The little beer mugs are at the top of my list. I have some already, but not many. The green candle stick elements are also interesting. I’m not dying to have this add-on, but I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on a few either. You get this set by spending over $65 between January 1 and 25, 2023 (or while supplies last). Here are the set details:

I like classic space, but I am not a die-hard fan. As such, I’m intrigued by the Blacktron Cruiser, but a little on the fence. The close up images have me a little more interested than before. Same with this month’s add-on pack.
