For the last few years, the LEGO® Group produced four Advent calendars for each holiday season. For 2022, they made five. We already reported on the Star Wars and Harry Potter calendars. Additionally, we looked at the City and Friends editions for this year. However, the Guardians of the Galaxy Advent calendar popped up on the Canadian LEGO® site recently. Now, all 2022 Advent Calendars have been revealed with Canadian pricing. We’ll take a quick look at the Guardians offering below, and then summarize this year’s calendars for you in this article.
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY ADVENT CALENDAR

As Frank mentioned in part 1 and part 2 of the 2022 Advent Calendar reveals, this year’s offerings are pricier than in the past. Licensed calendars (like Marvel and Harry Potter) used to retail for $49.99 CAD. Meanwhile, in-house themes (like City and Friends) went for $39.99 CAD. For 2022, the licensed themes jumped a whole $10, while in-house offerings increased by $5. This means the cost-per-brick is higher this year… but we all buy these for the exclusive Minifigures, anyway, right? Though, you are paying more for those as well. The calendars come out on September 1, 2022. I’ve summarized this year’s offerings in the table below to help you with your decision making.

Despite the increase in price, these Advent Calendars offer some interesting Minifigures. Star Wars fans get some nice beach themed exclusives, as well as an R2-D2 with holiday sweater print. Guardians fans acquire great core characters, some with fun holiday sweaters as well. I am sure Harry Potter fans are thrilled with Moaning Myrtle’s return, and City fans gain some great street scene fillers. Finally, Friends fans… um… a creepy Santa Claus?
