I Am Goot. Groot, I Am. Am I Groot? You get the idea 🙂 Everyone’s favourite sentient tree creature is on his way this summer as a brand-new set. In this newest build we get Baby Groot as seen in Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2. And he certainly is just as adorable. Groot is fully poseable with some pretty great articulation. And he comes with a name plaque and (best of all) a brick-built cassette tape of the ‘Awesome Mix: Vol 2’. Groot is the second brick-built character set to release in 2022 along with Iron Man Figure (76206). In hindsight, that set should have been called “I Am Iron Man” right? I Am Groot (76217) is very well done and features quite a lot of articulation. The build is easily recognizable and will make a great play or display set. I also love those giant eyes which really sell the look. The name plaque is hilarious as it just repeats “I Am Groot” over and over – well done LEGO®️. But my favourite detail is definitely that cassette tape. It’s super simple but ties in perfectly and is just a nice piece of design. And does this mean a new Walkman set is possibly in the cards at some point in the future? Well, I didn’t know I wanted one until I wrote that.
