I am a fan of the Superheroes themes, but primarily for the Minifigures. The LEGO® Group does not make enough buildings in the theme. We get vehicle after vehicle, even when vehicles do not make sense for a character. However, I recently received a shipment from the LEGO® Group that blew me away. The latest 18+ Marvel Superheroes set arrived on my doorstep, new for summer 2021. I feel the LEGO Group heard my prayers and the clouds parted to shine heavenly light upon me. I have been waiting for this Superheroes set for a long time. Today, I get to share a preliminary look at the Daily Bugle coming soon from the LEGO® Group.
The official press release describes the set as follows:
The LEGO Daily Bugle is incredibly detailed both inside and out, with four floors, the front street and the back alley. The whole set is also modular meaning you can remove walls and floors to get to the action within.
Within the building there are several famous settings from the various universes, including the ground floor entrance that can be destroyed to look like an explosion has taken place and the newsroom on the first floor complete with the usual office furniture of desks and computers, but also much needed donuts and other treats!
Moving up to the second floor, the villainous Green Goblin can be seen smashing a window to get to Peter Parker’s office where his camera lies waiting for the next story. The top floor also features both Betty Brant and J. Jonah Jameson’s offices.

This set features a lot to get excited about. Firstly, it is modular. The floors lift off individually, and feature wall panels that also come off to allow interior access. Secondly, the building is ready to drop into your city layout with no modifications necessary. Thirdly, designers put thought into how Minifigures get from one floor to the next. The set has a fire escape as well as an elevator. The elevator does not actually function, but it leaves less to the imagination. Finally, there are 25 Minifigures. Additionally, many of them are brand new characters unique to this set.

Needless to say, I am very excited to build the Daily Bugle. I found myself at a loss for words when I unboxed this set. A preliminary look at the box alone has me feeling like this Superheroes set fixes all the issues I have with the theme. I think it will appeal to Superheroes fans as well as kids and AFOL city builders. Then there are the Minifigures: Punisher, Daredevil, Blade, Black Cat…. Drool. Be sure to check back soon for my full review. In the meantime, check out my unboxing video below or on YouTube. What are your thoughts on the Daily Bugle coming soon from the LEGO Group? Feel free to comment below or reach out on social media.
Until next time,
-Tom

I absolutly love this set I only whish you could repair the window with green goblins hover board crashing through but other wise the set looks perfect. Hopefully they make a modualr advengers tower next because the curent ones are not too impresiv.
I just finished building it, and it is really easy to rebuild that window following the instructions for another floor. I have not tried it yet, so I don’t know if many extra pieces are needed or not though. It’s a great set though, lots to love🙂
