While I am not a Friends theme enthusiast, this wave does offer interesting tidbits. Friends sets are great for windows, colorful bricks, and accessories. Additionally, the signage in these kits looks great, especially the turtle crossing in 41446. However, I question the addition of yet another bakery. Heartlake City seems to open a new cafe or bakery with every wave. Given that the same mini-dolls run every iteration, it makes you wonder about the business sense of these characters. Perhaps the target audience does not mind new twists on the same old ideas. However, I would like an infusion of new concepts for Heartlake City. How about a look at the shadier side of the town? Perhaps a series of vacant, boarded up cafes and bakeries that went out of business? What do you think of the March 2021 Friends sets? Comment below or reach out on social media.
Until next time,
-Tom
