March 2021 Creator Sets Announced

In addition to a slew of other sets, The LEGO® Group officially unveiled the March 2021 Creator sets. The two new 3-in-1 kits offer builders a potential space mining safari. The first of the two kits features a futuristic mech with two alterative robotic builds. The second takes us on safari in an observation tree house, a biplane, or a catamaran.

  • SET #: 31116
  • COST: $39.99 CAD
  • BRICK COUNT: 397
  • RELEASE DATE: March 1, 2021
  • COST-PER-BRICK: $0.100 (very good value)
  • BRICK-TO-FIG RATIO: 199:1 (passable number of minifigs for a set this big.)

Both of the new March 2021 Creator sets come at a great value. I am not generally a fan of brick-built animals, but the giraffe in 31116 is an interesting design. Additionally, I like the look of the catamaran alternate built. However, of these offerings, I like the Space Mining Mech the most. It fits well with other recent sets in the theme, namely Space Rover Explorer and Cyber Drone. My only complaint is that Space Mining Mech does not include a minifig. Unfortunately, that is a huge turn off for me. I love my Minifigures. What are your thoughts on the new Creator 3-in-1 sets? Feel free to comment below or reach out on social media.

Until next time,
