Minifigure Monday is a weekly celebration of LEGO® characters through art. However, “weekly” has been hard to keep up of late. Work is hectic despite the COVID-19 shutdown. Additionally, my inspiration comes from new Minifigures. However, retail closures due to the pandemic stopped my Minifigure purchases. Series 20 is out, and I do not have a single one. In fact, I never even completed my DC Comics collection. I spend a lot of time feeling blind bags to ensure that I get the whole collection. But, I can’t go the LEGO® Store (or any toy retailer for that matter). Even if I could, social distancing measures make feeling packets unsanitary. However, a different form of inspiration struck this week. I present Men’s Health LEGO-fied. This is how I imagine the magazine would look on a stand in my LEGO® City.

Who better to showcase on the cover than LEGO® Batman? After several films of physique-boasting, he is the ideal candidate. The Swimsuit Batman from series 2 of the LEGO® Batman Movie Minifigures also lends himself perfectly to a cover shot. Additionally, most of the headlines are pulled directly from lines in the film. One exception is “Brick Pack Abs”, which I came up with as a LEGO® brick tie-in. Hopefully it brings smiles to a few faces 🙂
Until next time,
