More and more LEGO® sets are targeted towards adult collectors. This latest bit of news features one such set. The LEGO® Group announced the newest addition to the Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) today. Consequently, we can now report that the UCS A-Wing from Star Wars hits shelves in just a couple short weeks!
The official press release describes the set as follows:
Inspire memories of the classic Star Wars: Return of the Jedi movie with this cool Ultimate Collectors Series LEGO® A-wing Starfighter (75275) building set! The sleek, arrowhead shape is beautifully reproduced in LEGO bricks and fans will appreciate authentic details such as the pivoting laser cannons and new-for-May-2020 removable canopy on the cockpit.
The set retails for $259.99 in Canada. In other markets expect $199.99 USD, £179.99, and approximately €199.99 (depending on your country). Additionally, other details include:
- NAME: A-Wing Starfighter

- THEME: Star Wars
- BRICK COUNT: 1673
- MINIFIGURES: 1
- DIMENSIONS: 27 cm (10.5″) high, 42 cm (16.5″) long, 26 cm (10″) wide including display base.

It is a sleek looking model for sure. However, it does not make my purchase list. Of course, that is primarily because I do not really collect Star Wars sets. If I felt as strongly about Star Wars as I did the 1989 Batmobile, I probably would pick this up. Therefore, I can definitely understand the appeal from the point of a fan. What do the Star Wars enthusiasts of the world think? Sound off in the comments below or on social media.
Until next time,
