Ducati Panigale Coming Soon

Hot on the heels of yesterday’s Star Wars A-Wing announcement, today we get word of the latest Technic release. Consequently, motorcycle fans let out a collective cheer because the Ducati Panigale is coming soon. Additionally, the set features a number of new features not seen in previous Technic bikes.

The official press release describes the set as follows:

The new model is a spectacular replica of the iconic Italian motorcycle, combining LEGO® Technic™ and Ducati design DNA to recreate the curves and aerodynamic form of the two-wheeled wonder. Just like the visionary motorbike does in real life, the LEGO version transports LEGO builders to new heights as they easily act out the tight turns and fast straights that the bike can easily navigate thanks to its powerful engine.

The first Technic motorcycle to feature a two-speed gearbox.

All of the details of this set have not been released yet. However, we do know that this will be the first Technic motorcycle to feature a two-speed gear box connected to a V4-cylinder engine. Additionally, expect handlebar steering, front and rear suspension, and disc brakes among other realistic features. In terms of set specifics:

Watching the video included with the press release shows a really impressive suspension on this model (see below). I do not regularly collect Technic sets. Therefore, I do not know if the sort of suspension is commonplace. Seeing it in sets from others themes would be interesting. What are your thoughts on the Ducati Panigale V4 R? Until next time,
