The Lone Wolf (Minifigure Monday)

Minifigure Monday is a weekly celebration of LEGO® Minifigures through art. This week, we explore the concept of the lone wolf and the repercussions thereof. I have been taking advantage of the winter and snow lately in my photography. The LEGO® characters alone in barren, white landscapes have produced some interesting images. This week’s photo and poem were inspired by the Akita wolf figurine from the Lloyd’s Journey Ninjago set (70671). The set features a frozen scene, so I photographed it outside in the ice. Seeing Akita alone under a chunk of ice that fell from my roof brought about this week’s poem.

The Lone Wolf (Minifigure Monday)

An original poem from True North Bricks inspired by LEGO® characters.

The lone wolf travels down a trail,
He goes on be it sun or hail.
Though boldly he walks down that road,
His shoulder bear a heavy load.
For on that road among the stone,
The only footprints are his own.
Along his cold and lonely track,
The lone wolf does not have a pack.
Some distant day, his road will end,
And he may wish he had a friend.
With all the tales of miles gone by,
Someone to share and say goodbye.

The Lone Wolf was inspired by this shot of Akita from the Ninjago “Lloyd’s Journey” set.
