Minifigure Monday is a weekly celebration of LEGO® Minifigures and the art they inspire. Today, we delve into the world of poetry and photography with Just a Sack of Meat, a brief look at humanity’s place on the food chain. For past Minifigure Monday posts, click here.
Just a Sack of Meat
An original Minifigure inspired poem from True North Bricks.
There was a time not long ago,
We weren’t so special, don’t you know?
Another primate on the beat,
Quite clumsy on our biped feet.
Hard was life, we did not revel,
On our lowly trophic level.
To take a rest, or breath and pause,
Would find you dead in someone’s claws.
So, in your moments of conceit,
Recall you’re just a sack of meat.
Can you really be a winner,
If you’re someone else’s dinner?
