The August 2023 GWPs are now live on LEGO.com. Those who’ve been collecting the Houses of the World series will be happy since the third installment has just arrived. However, similar to Houses of the World 1 and 2, you’re going to have to fork out a lot of money to get one. The price threshold is $320 CAD, and only for VIPs. Personally, I think that is way too much for what you get. The LEGO® Group sent me Houses of the World 1 to review, and I decided then and there the series wasn’t worth it for me. The builds are by no means bad. But, I take issue with the price point to get them. Each house is only worth $25 CAD after all. The offer is valid until August 27, 2023 (or while supplies last).

The second GWP is far more affordable. However, it is only available with Dreamzzz, Ninjago, City, Friends, Monkie Kid, or Harry Potter purchases over $50 CAD. I’m actually inclined to get this one. It’s just a little polybag, but it comes with one of those new little Z-blob creatures. I have no interest in the Dreamzzz theme otherwise. But this makes the bar low for getting that interesting little character. The polybag has a $5.99 CAD value and is available with qualifying purchases from August 11 – 21, 2023.

What do you think of the August 2023 GWPs? I kind of feel like there has been a slump lately. I’ve not felt the “need” to acquire any GWPs for some time now. Even this round, the Z-blob polybag is only a mild interest. I have some VIP rewards redemption coupons expiring soon, so I need to make a couple of orders anyway… Let me know what you think in the comments below or reach out on social media.
Until next time,
-Tom
