More reveals and more Star Wars fun is on the way. San Diego Comic Con is back for 2023 and it is traditionally a place for big reveals across many media – including LEGO®️. For this year’s con, three new Star Wars sets make their debut. They include two more sets for the upcoming Ahsoka live-action Disney+ show and one buildable figure/sculpt. All three sets are already up for pre-order on the official website with a release date of September 1st. I already covered one new set in last week’s pre-order article. The Ghost & Phantom II is also slated for a September 1st release and is also up for advance sale. Check out the details and photos below.
Chewbacca
- SET #: 75371

- MINIFIGURES: 1 – Chewbacca
- RELEASE DATE: September 1, 2023

Chewbacca is a brick built sculpture of everyone’s favourite Wookie. My apologies to all the Captain Tarfful stans but it’s true. Chewie has some really nice sculpting for his fur, bandolier and bowcaster. And I realize that people are already quite displeased with the face sculpt. Hate is probably more apt. So am I the only one who thinks it’s fine?? I can’t imagine it’s easy to sculpt organically with bricks, but I think it’s successful overall. The varying browns add some nice depth. And like other display sculptures, Chewie gets an info plaque and a spot for a standard minifigure. I think he will look great next to similar sets like Yoda (75255), The Child (75318) and BD-1 (75335).

New Star Wars sets happily mean more Ahsoka Tano. Y’all know I am the hugest fan of this former jedi. And I am SO excited for the news series. Here we get a great recreation of her personal craft last seen in the Rebels animated series. This is also the second release of the T-6 Jedi shuttle after a set of the same name (7931 – T-6 Jedi Shuttle) released with the Clone Wars animated series in 2011. This latest design has a ton of great detail and, best of all, 4 all-new amazing minifigures. Ahsoka and Sabine look fantastic and I can’t wait to add them to the collection. We finally have new trans clear elements for her lightsabers as well. Marrok the Inquisitor looks equally slick, but the real winner is our first Professor Huyang! What a great minifig and I can’t wait to see him in the series!

New republic e-wing vs. shin hati’s starfighter
- SET #: 75364
- THEME: Star Wars
- COST: $139.99 CAD
- BRICK COUNT: 1056
- MINIFIGURES: 5 – Baylan Skoll, Shin Hati, Morgan Elsbeth, Captain Porter, Astromech
- RELEASE DATE: September 1, 2023
- COST/BRICK: $0.13 (good value)
- BRICK/FIG: 213 (good value)
- DIMENSIONS: 10 cm tall x 27 cm wide x 24 cm deep (E-wing)
It wouldn’t be a new Star Wars wave without a starfighter or two. Here we get two new starship designs including the first ever E-wing. Both ships look great with nice shaping and fun colour palettes. The cost/brick is also slightly improved compared to the shuttle. But I don’t see how this is 1000 pieces….In any case, 4 more minifigures and an astromech round out what looks to be the core cast. In this set we get our main antagonists with Baylon, Shin Hati and Elsbeth. Once again great printing on every single character. I love that there’s no repeats across any of the three Ahsoka sets – a big bonus for collecting.
Ahsoka Lives!
When it comes to Star Wars, my love will always be with Ahsoka, the Clone Wars and Rebels show and the OG trilogy. I’m happy this show looks to be referencing all those stories. I can’t wait to see it. My expectations are super high after a few stumbles in The Mandalorian, Season 3 and Obi-Wan. But what do you think about these new sets? Are you pre-ordering these or anything else? Are you excited for live-action Ahsoka? Comment below and in all the usual places. Thanks as always for reading and until next time, keep on brickin’. 🧱
