Eiffel Tower Day 6 (build Journal)

Eiffel Tower Day 6 (Build Journal)

I finished building the LEGO® Eiffel Tower today. Three instruction manuals, 10,001 bricks, and 17 hours of build time are now behind me. The set is monstrous when complete. We’ve all heard it is nearly five feet tall. In fact, I have said that numerous times myself in the content I’ve produced for this set. However, knowing that going in has not stopped me from being in complete awe looking at the finished build. This tower is huge. Have a look at my Eiffel Tower, day 6 build journey below!

During Eiffel Tower, day 6, I built my way through bags 66-74. I won’t lie, building the support struts was almost unbearable towards the end. I plowed through the final pages of the third instruction manual when normally I would have taken breaks. But I wanted to finish the build before leaving on a business trip for my actual job. If I wasn’t convinced of the repetitive nature of this build before, I certainly am now… though I was actually convinced before.

With that said, a lot of the pain of building the Eiffel Tower washed away when I looked at the finished model. It is truly a work of art. I have no where to display it in my home, but is it beautiful. I’ll tuck it in a corner somewhere for a couple of weeks just to enjoy it a little longer, but ultimately I have to take it apart. I cringe at the thought… In any case, we’re not done with the LEGO® Eiffel Tower yet. I am about to start writing the review, so stay tuned!

Until next time,

-Tom
