More Marvel Comics news today as new, buildable Spider-Man figures were revealed by the LEGO® Group. This announcement comes shortly after the unveiling of the newest Black Panther sets. The upcoming characters include classic Spider-Man, Miles Morales, and Venom. The sets hit store shelves in September 2022 and are similar in scale to to the Iron Man figure released earlier this year. While they contain fewer pieces (and no light bricks), these new buildable characters are also $15 cheaper.

These figures present an interesting play option outside of the usual Minifigure scale. With multiple points of articulation, they also probably provide an interesting tutorial in larger scale character building. However, I am not a fan of the exposed ball joints. Venom in particular has an odd looking hip design. Finally, I find the head shape is a little off. Ultimately, this selection of characters is not for me.
