Black Panther 2 Sets Revealed

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (Black Panther 2) is the upcoming sequel to the original Black Panther film that released in 2018. It is absolutely one of the best MCU films and I can’t wait to see this follow-up. The trailer looks phenomenal with much of the principal cast returning. The main exception of course being the late (and so so great) Chadwick Boseman who passed away in August 2020. Rest in Power sir, you were/are an icon. Tying in with the film’s release are four confirmed LEGO® sets. Three of these sets are now up on the official website. The initial offerings include one 4+ set and two regular system sets. There’s some fun new characters and minifigure designs which I am definitely intrigued by. Check out the details below including photos and pricing.

Shuri’s lab

  • SET #: 76212
  • THEME: Marvel (4+)
  • COST: $13.99 CAD
  • BRICK COUNT: 58
  • MINIFIGURES: 2
  • RELEASE DATE: October 1, 2022
  • COST/BRICK: $0.24 (expensive value)
  • BRICK-TO-FIG RATIO: 29 bricks/fig (amazing value)
  • DIMENSIONS: 7cm high x 9cm wide x 6cm deep

King namor’s throne room

  • SET #: 76213
  • THEME: Marvel
  • COST: $44.99 CAD
  • BRICK COUNT: 355
  • MINIFIGURES: 3
  • RELEASE DATE: October 1, 2022
  • COST/BRICK: $0.13 (good/average value)
  • BRICK-TO-FIG RATIO: 118 bricks/fig (good value)
  • DIMENSIONS: 4cm high x 13cm wide x 4cm deep

For a smaller set, this packs in a lot of fun detail. The giant bone mouth throne is pretty rad. Also rad are these amazing new minifigure designs. The details on Namor are top-notch, as are the updated prints for Shuri. The blue dude is also great thanks to beautiful printing and that great new head mold. This set also boasts a pretty good cost-per-brick value.

Shuri’s Sunbird

  • SET #: 76211
  • THEME: Marvel
  • COST: $64.99 CAD
  • BRICK COUNT: 355
  • MINIFIGURES: 4
  • RELEASE DATE: October 1, 2022
  • COST/BRICK: $0.18 (poor value)
  • BRICK-TO-FIG RATIO: 89 bricks/fig (great value)
  • DIMENSIONS: 7cm high x 27cm wide x 26cm deep

This is the largest single build of the upcoming releases, but funnily enough has the same piece count as Namor’s Throne. And it sadly comes in at $20 CAD more expensive. Can’t see where this major price difference comes from, but it sadly ups the cost-per-brick up by quite a bit. On a positive note, we do get 3 very awesome female leads including the all-new character of Riri Williams, AKA: Ironheart. Once again we find amazing printing on all these figs!

The MCU continues

These Black Panther 2 sets will release on October 1st just ahead of the film’s November 11th theatrical release. The last set may contain spoilers so it’s not unusual to hold off until closer to the date. Whatever the case, we will update you with the info when it becomes available. In the meantime, keep it tuned here for more reveals, reviews and news. What do you think of these sets? Are you excited for the film? Are you eager to see new character like Namor? Comment below and let us know your thoughts. Thanks for reading and until next time, keep on brickin’. 🧱

  1. I’m a big fan of Namor and am excited to see the character finally coming to the big screen! These sets, however, do not seem to provide a good value – at least for me. I don’t like “underwater” sets very much since they can be difficult to play with (especially in combination with other Lego figures). Sunbird looks somewhat interesting – especially since it includes both Namor and Attuma

    1. Sadly, I think we’ll all have to get used to the new normal in pricing moving forward… It is always great to see new characters show up as Minifigures though.
