Rolling Stones Art Revealed

The Rolling Stones are turning 60… as in the band is 60… the band members are considerably older. In fact, I recently read that the average age of the surviving band members is 76. But what better way to celebrate the band’s 60th anniversary than with an epic LEGO® Art set? That’s right, the LEGO® Group is producing Rolling Stones art in the form of the band’s classic logo. Built on nine baseplates, the iconic lips and tongue will measure 57 cm high by 47 cm wide. The set joins the ever growing summer 2022 lineup.

Interestingly, The Rolling Stones Art set strays from the established LEGO® Art formula. Close examination of the photographs reveals the set is not composed of the usual 1×1 round plates or tiles. There is a large number of bigger tiles included in the design. While the set is an amazing piece for fans of the band, it might double as an interesting brick box for those less interested in septuagenarian rockers. I happen to enjoy the Stones and find myself tempted to acquire this piece. Who says you can’t always get what you want? Oh wait… that was the Rolling Stones. Now if only the LEGO® Group would produce Aerosmith too… What do you think of the latest addition to the LEGO® Art lineup? Let us know in the comments below or reach out on social media.

Until next time,

-Tom
