Though the summer sets are still a way off for Canadian LEGO® fans, I have just caught wind of the first sets for autumn. Today, the LEGO® Group announced four upcoming fall 2021 Jurassic World sets. Interestingly for fans of the franchise, this series contains Minifigure versions of Camp Cretaceous characters in addition to series staples. Sadly, there are no new dinosaurs. However, the new version of the T. rex is certainly interesting.

I love Jurassic World sets for the dinosaurs. This offering is okay, but I like to see at least one new dinosaur in a wave. The most interesting aspect of these sets for me is the inclusion of Camp Cretaceous Minifigures. I enjoyed the first three seasons of the animated series. They feature a lot of references to the films, as well as Easter eggs. However, the characters are all teenagers in the show. These minifigs come with film characters like Owen Grady and Claire Dearing. Consequently, I think these Camp Cretaceous characters should have the shorter, moveable legs instead of full-sized ones. All the same, they are nice Minifigures. What are your thoughts on the fall 2021 Jurassic World sets? Feel free to comment below or reach out on social media.
Until next time,
-Tom
