As promised last week, Minifigure Monday is taking a new avenue. Traditionally, this post has always been a celebration of LEGO® characters through art. In a sense, that will continue with photography and some illustrations from time to time. However, I am starting to play with video content. As such, for the next few weeks, I will unbag my way through Collectible Minifigure Series 21. As I go, I will give you a feel guide for identifying each character in store. If you are still on the hunt for certain Minifigures, hopefully that will help you out. First up, the Series 21 Ancient warrior.

FEEL GUIDE
I recommend looking for two items in each bag when you are trying to find a character. In the case of the Ancient Warrior, there are three items to look out for. First, his headdress is a large piece with distinctive serrated edges meant to look like feathers. However, he is not the only character in the series with a mask of sorts. I used the round, convex shield to help identify the Ancient Warrior. Additionally, you can also use his serrated club (Macuahuitl).

PHOTOSHOOT
For MY Series 21 Ancient Warrior photoshoot, I decided to build a jungle scene. I used the Legendary Flower Fruit Mountain waterfall as a backdrop. Additionally, a raised baseplate from the ‘90s Islanders Enchanted Island created some elevation in the scene. Otherwise, I tried to fill the shot with a variety of vegetation, including ‘90s Pirates palm trees. Finally, I added one of the jungle cats from the City theme. Since this warrior is Aztec-inspired, I chose the variant that resembles a jaguar (though it is probably a leopard). The cat came in the Jungle Exploration Site set from 2017.
Be sure to check back in a week for the next installment of Minifigure Monday!
Until next time,
-Tom
