Chadwick Boseman’s passing on August 28, 2020 saddened me. I greatly enjoyed his portrayal of Black Panther in the Marvel films. He was King T’Challa. Marvel Studios will be hard pressed to find another actor to fill those shoes. I am not even sure if they should. As many of you know, Boseman passed due to complications arising from colon cancer. That hit me hard too. My best friend died of colon cancer. It was a bit of a double whammy. Hollywood lost a great talent for reasons that hit close to home for me. Consequently, the topic of this week’s Minifigure Monday: Black Panther. Call it an ode to Chadwick Boseman.
Black Panther Minifigures have appeared in five different LEGO® sets as four different variants of the character. The version that I drew below is based on the one from Avengers Speeder Bike Attack (76142). I took a little creative licence, but I am sure you will see the resemblance. Currently, the sets that include a Black Panther Minifigure are:
- 76047: Black Panther Pursuit (retired set)
- 76099: Rhino Face-Off by the Mine (retired set)
- 76100: Royal Talon Fighter Attack (retired set)
- 76103: Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack (retired set)
- 76142: Avengers Speeder Bike Attack (currently available)
