More BYGGLEK News

Hot on the heels of the LEGO® Group/IKEA collaboration news from this morning, I have uncovered more BYGGLEK information. There seems to be a lot of interest in these products in the Canadian LEGO® community, so I did some digging and got additional information from IKEA Canada. I now have Canadian pricing information. Additionally, you can take a closer look at the IKEA exclusive LEGO® set.

The IKEA exclusive BYGGLEK LEGO® set is of particular interest to many collectors, I am sure. Judging from the image, the kit is akin to a Classic brick box. Additionally, the description lists “1 practical tool”, which appears to be a brick separator. The specific details for the set are:

  • NAME: BYGGLEK
  • SET #: 40357
  • COST: $24.99 CAD
  • BRICK COUNT: 200
  • MINIFIGURES: 2
  • RELEASE DATE: October 1, 2020
  • COST-PER-BRICK: $0.12 (Good)
  • BRICK-TO-FIG RATIO: 100:1 (Very Good)

As I mentioned in the earlier post, I was expecting something a little more along the lines of furniture in addition to the storage boxes. However, I like the look of these boxes on closer inspection of the images. Additionally, the set comes with an interesting color selection. Incidentally, the whole BYGGLEK collection sets you back $86 before taxes in Canada. All the same, I think I will be one of the early purchasers. How about you? Did getting more BYGGLEK news hype you up? Comment below or reach out on social media.

Until next time,

-Tom

p.s. check out the image below. The little IKEA instruction manual guy is explaining how to use the brick separator!
