Will the World Still Be the Same? (Minifigure Monday)

Minifigure Monday is a weekly celebration of LEGO® characters through art. This week’s post asks: will the world still be the same in months to come? It was inspired by current world events and the isolation imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Lately, I question how long this will last. Additionally, what will the long term effects of this situation be? The subject of my photo was a custom character built at the LEGO® Store Build-a-Mini station during better times. She was a random assemblage of parts that I wanted. Who knew she would fit perfectly in an abandoned Assembly Square?

Will the World Still Be the Same?

An original poem from True North Bricks.

There’s no one out here in this square.
Cafes are empty, streets are bare.
Alone here it is feeling strange.
How quickly everything did change.
Things aren’t the way they used to be.
There is no sense of normalcy.
That this will end, the adverts claim.
But will the world still be the same?

Will the World Still Be the Same?
