We’ve been friends for so many years,
Through ups and downs, and smiles and tears.
Sadly, the time has come to say,
My good friend, you have gone away.
Like a flame that once danced in gold,
That sadly flickered and went cold.
Or faded spark once bright as day,
My good friend, you have gone away.
Your friendship I will always miss,
But, as you go be sure of this:
Your memory will always stay,
Even though you have gone away.
