A decade ago, True North Bricks was just getting started. I’d set up my blog, opened my social media accounts, and among the first was Instagram. I was reminded of those early days today while going through the Minifigures from the bulk lot I picked up earlier this fall. Tucked in there was the Series 13 Disco Diva — one of the first characters I ever found from the Collectible Minifigures line.
I wasn’t much of a photographer back then, but I remember being genuinely excited about the shot I took. It ended up becoming the very first photo I ever posted on the True North Bricks Instagram account. I’d already been blogging for a couple of months, but for reasons I can’t quite recall, I didn’t post on Instagram until June 21, 2016. In that original photo, I even added the cape from the Series 12 Wizard for a little extra flair.
Finding this character again brought back a rush of memories from those early days. I had never scrolled all the way back through my feed until the Disco Diva reminded me of that first post. Since I already have her in my collection, this bulk-lot find is heading straight to the True North Bricks shop.
