2024 is certainly shaping up to be the year for fans of classic themes when it comes to Minifigures. For starters, Series 25 included the Bat Lord as well as a Medieval Goatherd back in January. Then recently, we learned of the Dungeons & Dragons Minifigure series due in September. I shared a potentially leaked image of those in my reveal article for the set due in April. Now, I’ve gotten wind of another collection coming in May. While the previous announcements catered to Castles fans, this announcement is sure to get classic Space fans going. Images of LEGO® Minifigures Series 26 have surfaced online, and the collection is entirely space themed.

LEGO Minifigures Series 26

I can tell already this series will not be for everyone. The minifigs include throwbacks like a classic a City astronaut, as well as characters from M-Tron, Blacktron, and Ice Planet. Round that out with a few other cosmic characters like the alien tourist and the pink space baby and you have quite the motley space station crew. However, if you didn’t grow up with classic space themes, or aren’t into building your own space display now, I can see there not being as much interest in these characters.

Series 26 will likely cost $5.99 CAD per minifig, like other recent series. Additionally, you can expect them in those pesky boxes… but we might get lucky with the QR codes again. There is no confirmation of that though. Expect this collection in stores officially on May 1, 2024. However, there are already reports of people finding these characters in the wild, so keep an eye out. What do you think of LEGO® Minifigures Series 26? Let me know in the comments or reach out on social media.

Until next time,

-Tom
