While I have collected the occasional Monkie Kid set, I do not regularly pick them up. I have loved a few sets, like the Legendary Flower Fruit Mountain and City of Lanterns. But there have certainly been a few duds too, like Red Son’s Inferno Jet. With that said, the theme continues to push out interesting sets. The summer 2023 Monkie Kid lineup is no exception. If I had more room to display things, or a permanent Asian themed display, I would certainly pick some of these up. Without further ado, let’s take a look at the upcoming sets.

I am really happy to see the summer 2023 Monkie Kid wave has moved away from an overbearing selection of vehicles. Arguably, the weakest set in this wave is the vehicle build. I love that this offering focuses on location and creatures. The Dragon of the East Palace looks great. Additionally, Mei’s Dragon Guardian looks like a fun build for dragon enthusiasts like myself. However, one of the highlights for me is the Monkey King in a tiger print outfit from the Mighty Azure Lion set. What do you think of the summer 2023 Monkie Kid sets?
