Bargain Bricks: Episode 2 is here and I am already breaking the mold a bit. When I started planning this series, the goal was to find retired sets I had missed out on from my childhood or dark ages. Last week, we looked at the Pirates Chess set, which I scored for $66 CAD. While I promise a return to the original planned format next week, this week I am sharing a bargain purchase of another sort.
We all know the Vidiyo theme flopped recently. Consequently, Vidiyo sets have populated the liquidation racks of late. I had nothing but problems with my first Vidiyo experience, and I thought the Beatboxes were overpriced. After that first attempt, I didn’t touch the theme until the liquidations came around. I always wanted the Alien DJ, I just did not want to spend $25 on it. I bought one when they went on sale, and reviewed it a while back. Since then, I bought a few more at $9.00 CAD each.
