Hogwarts Magical Trunk (76399) Revealed

The magic will continue for the Harry Potter theme in 2022 with the reveal of the Hogwarts Magical Trunk (76399). The LEGO® Group took to social media for the reveal with a really fun video featuring some ‘stop-motion’-esque animation – definitely check it out on Twitter and Facebook! It’s a smaller set, but there’s a lot of lovely features to enjoy. The release date is March 1st, 2022 and is currently listed on LEGO.COM. Please see below for the usual details. For this latest Wizarding World set, you will get a replica of a student’s trunk/luggage. Opening it up you will be able to recreate and customize scenes from some key film franchise locations. You can build the great hall for feasts, sortings and general merriment. Or you can set up the common room of your favourite House. Speaking of Houses, the trunk’s interior and exterior are fully customizable with the respective colours of the 4 famous withces and wizards. Coloured pieces and stickers help you create the perfect scene. There’s also a special key to keep all those contents safe and secure.

Hogwarts Magical Trunk (76399) comes with 5 minifigures. Professor McGonagall looks to be the same figure the 20th Anniversary Hogsmeade Village Visit (76388). But the other 4 are fully customizable minifigures and that’s pretty darn fun. It’s a neat change of pace and really opens up some play elements. In keeping with The LEGO® Group’s diversity mandate, the figs will feature a variety of skin tones – which is pretty fantastic. You can easily recreate characters like Harry or Luna, or you can imagine all new ones with alternate hair pieces and fun accessories like The Quibbler or Sorting Hat. I’m also loving the new grey owl design and that snazzy purple couch.

The Magic Continues in 2022

For the time being there are no sets releasing in January 2022. But this can of course change at any moment. Lots of rumours going around for new sets so please check back often as we’ll be posting information as soon as we can. But what are your thoughts on this first and latest Harry Potter set? Excited to continue collecting the magic? Which house are you? Or which house would you wish to be in? Let us know in the comments and as always, keep on brickin’. 🧱
