For the last couple of years, the Chinese New Year sets have been one of the most anticipated end-of-year announcements for me. I loved Lion Dance, Temple Fair, and Lantern Festival. These announcements are right up there with the yearly modular in my book. However, this coming year’s offerings do not have me as excited as past sets. It is hard to top last year’s gorgeous Lantern Festival. Will I acquire these sets? Most likely, yes. I still like them, and I love the Minifigures (anyone else notice the two Ice Planet throwbacks?). But compared to the last two years, the 2022 Chinese New Year sets fall a little below the high bar of past years. What do you think? Reach out in the comments below or on social media.
Until next time,
-Tom
