The latest store calendar was recently released. Consequently, we now know the August 2020 LEGO® promotions! The calendar advertises three freebies as well as a new sweepstakes. Additionally, North America FINALLY gets the summer 2020 wave of LEGO® sets on August 1. While we got a taste with Jurassic World, the rest have been a long time coming. Read on for the promotions 🙂
AUGUST 1 – 9:
- Buying the Super Mario Starter Course gets you a free Monty Mole and Super Mushroom expansion set. This offer is valid in stores only, not online.
AUGUST 1 – 16:
- Spending $40 or more on any Super Mario sets earns you a free Super Mushroom Surprise expansion set. This offer is valid in store and online as well.
AUGUST 17 – 31:
- Spending $35 or more earns you a free Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO polybag (30342). This offer is valid in stores and online as well.
August 17 – September 6:
- VIPs can enter the sweepstakes to win a limited edition Marvel Superheroes Phoenix Minifigure. Each entry costs 50 VIP points.

Interestingly, North America has not had a full double VIP points event this summer. In my experience, there usually is one in July or August. Perhaps COVID-19 has thrown a wrench in those plans. However, Europe and Asia did get the event a couple of weeks ago. I guess Canadians will have to wait and see… For now, at least you know some of the August 2020 LEGO® promotions to help with your purchase planning.
