Star Wars Helmets

The LEGO® Group just officially announced a brand new wave of Star Wars sets geared for collectors. These three new sets feature classic Star Wars helmets. The selection includes Boba Fett, a Stormtrooper, and a TIE Fighter pilot.

These are the first official images released by the LEGO® Group. However, many of you saw these pictures earlier through unofficial, leaked channels. Incidentally, the pictures show sets really meant for display and not play. Consequently, the targeted audience is older collectors in the 18+ range. In fact, the press release advertises the kits as “build-to-display models” and “an immersive building experience for adults”.

No pricing information was released for Canada. However, the sets will retail for $59.99 each in the United States. Consequently, the likely retail price in Canada is $79.99. Pre-order of sets begins March 17, 2020 with actual distribution beginning April 19, 2020. More details about each set can be found below.

Personally, I am not a big fan of sets without Minifigures. However, I can see the appeal of these for hardcore LEGO® and Star Wars fans. Additionally, they make nice display pieces. I also find the increasing number of sets being marketed as 18+ interesting. What are your thoughts on this new line of Star Wars helmets? Until next time,
