Minifigure Monday has taken a turn to the Dark Side this week. I am breaking from the tradition of looking at the latest Minifigure series, and am reviewing Darth Revan from the Star Wars theme this week. Revan is actually a reissue. He was originally released in 2014. I missed it back then for budgetary reasons. Imagine my amazement and anticipation when I found out that it would be the Force Friday freebie this year.

In Star Wars lore, Revan was a Jedi Knight who turned to the Dark Side. He was trained by the Jedi, but left the order when they refused to take part in the Mandalorian War. He became Sith, waged war on the Republic, and then was captured by the Jedi. The Jedi Council erased his memory, and he became good again. All of this was some 4000 years before the Star Wars most people know. How much of this is canon now? Probably none of it, but that is a whole other story.

Was the Darth Revan Minifigure worth all the hype? I think so. Revan comes with a red light sabre, a hood, and a cape. He does not have a double-sided face or any rear printing on his torso or legs. The front of the Minifigure is very well detailed though. For a freebie, this is a nice Minifig. I would normally give him 7/10, but since I didn’t have to pay anything for him, I think that warrants another point. So, my final verdict for Darth Revan is 8/10.

Did you get Darth Revan? I’d love to hear your story and thoughts! Until next time,
