Aww, gee, you shouldn’t have!

Recently, I was nominated for a Mystery Blogger Award. Like other blogging awards, this one comes with a few rules… one of which is that you have to post the rules, so here they are:

01. Post the award on your page.

MysteryBlogger

02. List the rules… in progress.

03. Thank who ever nominated you for the award.

I would like to thank Outside Perception for nominating me for this award. The guy who runs the blog is a new online acquaintance met through the April A-to-Z blogging challenge. I greatly enjoyed his movies theme this year!

04. Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well.

This award originates from Okoto Enigma’s Blog.

05. Tell readers three things about yourself.

I guess saying that I love LEGO would be too obvious… So, I have stared down a mother black bear with cubs, I faced a wild black mamba all by myself in the South African wilderness, and I have been charged by a lion.

06. Nominate people.

I would have nominated Outside Perception… but he nominated me. I also would have nominated Planet Pailly, but Outside Perception nominated that site too… Does that count as two nominations? It’s the thought that counts, right? Here are some more great nominees in no particular order:

  • C.D. Gallant-King and his blog, Stories I Found in the Closet. He is a fellow Canadian, and an author. I greatly enjoyed the Canadian facts theme that he ran for the A-to-Z challenge this past April.
  • The Chronicle, another Canadian blog based out of Montreal. Mary Sab Dem blogs about the arts and entertainment scene around the city, among other things. Bilingual to boot!
  • I have already nominate this guy for an award, but I enjoy his blog so much that it’s worth another nod. Here’s to Richard and Rambling Brick, an Australian meander through the world of LEGO.

07. Notify your nominees by commenting on their blogs.

Will do… as soon as I am done writing this.

08. Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice, with one weird or funny question.

Here is what I was asked:

  • Tell us about something that you used to believe only to find out it was incorrect?

I used to think that I was “too old” for LEGO. Then in my 30s, I broke out my childhood LEGO bin and was immediately relaxed and happy. You are never “too old” for things that make you happy!

  • If given the choice between Cake or Death… what would it be?

    Cake, please.

  • What was your imaginary friends name and what special skills did they have?

I used to hang out with Batman and fight crime in my youth. Batman is the world’s greatest detective. He is also pretty good at martial arts.

  • What is your all time most watched movie?

Jurassic Park or Gladiator… not sure which one. Then again, I have watched the Batman movies fairly frequently as well… and Star Wars…

  • When you have downtime… (Laugh.. yah I know) Ok, If you ever had downtime… What would you do?

LEGO!!!!! I love to build, and I am currently growing my own LEGO city.

Here are my questions for my nominees:

  1. If you were a LEGO Minifigure, what would you look like? (Click here to build a virtual Minifigure of yourself, and post your pic!)
  2. If you could fulfill one dream right now, all expenses paid, what would it be?
  3. When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
  4. Based on your answer to question #3, now that you are grown, did you reach your goal? Why or why not?
  5. Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to your younger self?

09. Share a link to your best post.

I don’t really know what my best post would be… my most popular one was about a custom Corner Deli/Eye Doctor/Photography studio that built for my LEGO city. You can read it by clicking here.

Until next time,

-T.N.B.
