If you’ve followed the True North Bricks blog, you know I’ve been sharing news, reviews, events, deals, and other fandom content for the past 10 years. It’s been an incredible journey—one built brick by brick alongside all of you.
Now, after a decade, I’m ready for a new challenge: stepping into the world of retail.
For now, think of this store as a beta test—a learning experience for me, and hopefully a fun treasure hunt for you. To kick things off, I’m treating it a little like a glorified garage sale. Ten years of LEGO® blogging means I’ve built up quite a “pile of shame.” Complete boxes of Minifigures bought for reviews, gift-with-purchase sets I never really needed, retired sets I never got around to reviewing… they’ve all been waiting for a new home, and now you can give them one.
The launch starts small, but my vision goes further. I want the True North Bricks Shop to become a one-stop hub for brick culture in Canada. Yes, there will always be LEGO® sets and Minifigures. But I also want to branch out into lighting kits, merch, and even carefully chosen competitor brands that meet my standards. How far this grows depends on how this little experiment unfolds.
To those of you who’ve been part of my online community over the past decade: thank you. To those discovering me for the first time: welcome! However you found your way here, I’m grateful. This is a passion project, and your support means the world. Please bear with me as I learn the ropes of retail—I promise I’ll do my best, even if there are a few bumps along the way.
