It’s Minifigure Monday, where we try to kick your week into gear by celebrating the amazing LEGO® Minifigure. Over the last couple weeks, I’ve started a new series in which I am sharing one of my favorite minifigs each week. Last week, we looked at the Snow Guardian from Minifigures Series 22. However, to mix things up a little, I’ve decided to include some guest appearances from around the LEGO® community as well. Our first is Naomi, known to many as the Brickanista. This week, she’s bringing us the Minifigure Monday – Alice Edition! Of course, we’re talking about Alice in Wonderland from series one of the Disney Collectible Minifigures Series.

The Alice minifig came out in 2016. She consists of seven parts, all of which are unique to this particular Minifigure. Mostly, she features unique printing. The aqua cookie and “drink me” bottle, as well as the face, leg, torso, and skirt coloring and prints all only appeared on this one character. Additionally, Alice’s hairpiece is a one of a kind mould that the LEGO® Group has never used again.

Thoughts on Alice from the Brickanista…
As for why Naomi picked the Alice minifig, “I chose Alice since it’s Disney’s 100th Anniversary,” she explains. “Part of the reason why I love Alice is the whole story is a metaphor for self discovery. She also has my favorite color, which is medium blue, for the torso and the skirt, and she has something to eat and something to drink.” Of course, you can catch more from Naomi on the Brickanista Broadcast Network. Find @Brickanista on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Rumble. I also appeared on her Builder Insights live stream not too long ago. You can find out more about that by clicking here.

Alice is also part of my collection. I acquired her back when the first Disney minifig series was out in stores. My wife is a big fan of Alice, so it was a must along with the Cheshire cat. Alice in Wonderland fans get another addition to the collection on May 1 when Disney Minifigures Series 3 hits stores. The collection contains the Queen of Hearts. You can find out more about that and the other Disney 100th Anniversary sets in our reveal article. That concludes this week’s Minifigure Monday – Alice Edition. Does Alice make your list of favorite Minifigures? Let me know in the comments or reach out on social media.
Until next time,
-Tom
