The third installment in the Ant-Man saga hits theaters on February 17, 2023. Consequently, the LEGO® Group just revealed their own tie-in to the film. An Ant-Man buildable figurine comes out in May. Yes, May… over two months after the release of the actual movie. And yes, a buildable figurine, just like Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Venom before him. I can’t say I like any of those predecessors. They just look bad, especially the element used for the head. I doubt I am alone in that considering that the only sets my local Toys R Us had in stock after Christmas were these. However, Ant-Man is a little different. Let’s take a closer look.

I think the buildable style of figurine works a little better this time around than previous attempts. The shape of the head suits the character a little more, especially since designers added elements that make it look more like the movie version. Over all, I think the LEGO® Group did a decent job on this set. I still don’t like it enough to go out and buy it though. But I also don’t think its as ugly as all the others. However, I do wish it came with an Ant-Man Minifigure and micro-figure so you could play out his size changes. What do you think of the new Ant-Man buildable figurine?
