The LEGO® Ambassador Network (LAN) just provided information regarding upcoming promotions (01/15/20) at the LEGO® Store. Let me tell you, some of the information is exciting. However, before we get to the juicy stuff, here’s what you can expect in terms of the usual promotions.
UPCOMING FREEBIES
From January 24 until February 9, spending over $45 will get you a free Hidden Side Drag Racer set.
Additionally, I recently reported on the release of the Creator Expert Old Trafford stadium set. As it turns out, there will be a freebie associated with it. The Gift-with-Purchase will be the United Trinity statue. More importantly, it is composed of three Minifigures. The giveaway will happen in between January 16 and January 31, 2020. Additionally, it is exclusive to VIP cardholders.

FEBRUARY DOUBLE VIP POINTS SETS
Every month, the LEGO® Store selects two sets that reward you with double VIP points. In February, those two sets will be the Hidden Side Haunted Fairground (70432) and the Friends Baking Competition (41393).
VIP SWEEPSTAKES
Now for the juicy stuff. Starting in February, you can use VIP points to enter monthly draws for amazing prizes. Consequently, the first sweepstakes runs from February 10 until March 2, 2020. The prize is a coveted 2012 San Diego Comic Con exclusive Shazam Minifigure. I pulled the image below from eBay. These Minifigures currently run for roughly $500 – $900 CAD. The sweepstakes offers the chance to win one for 50 VIP points.
There are some entry rules for the sweepstakes. Firstly, you must be a VIP program member. Secondly, you can make a maximum of 15 entries. Finally, here is the kicker, you must live in one of the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Canada (excluding Quebec), Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, United Kingdom and the US. This killed me. I live in Quebec and cannot take part. To that end, the LEGO® Group did release the following statement:
Please note some countries…are not covered in this activity due to local regulations. For those countries where we cannot legally run this type of promotion, we are currently seeking alternative promotional options, to ensure we proceed with a near-global approach as regularly as possible.
Additionally, the LEGO® Group announced that planned upcoming VIP sweepstakes include a signed Star Wars Minifigure, and exclusive version of a Marvel Minifigure, designer signed Imperial Star Destroyer sets, and signed copies of the Star Wars Visual Dictionary.
