To Have a Quiet Day…
(An original LEGO inspired poem from True North Bricks)

When feeling that the world’s too much,
A snail has its operculum.
It closes off to hide and such,
And avoid the burdensome.

When feeling like its being stressed,
A turtle can go in its shell.
In there it does avoid the rest,
And can be left alone as well.

When feeling one too many eyes,
On trees the peppered moth does blend.
And then remaining in disguise,
It saves itself a dreary end.

Just like the turtle, moth, and snail,
I’d like to hide myself away.
Avoiding crowds, phones, and email,
I’d love to have a quiet day.
