The Werewolf
(An original LEGO inspired poem from True North Bricks)
It was not so long ago,
I would say a month or so.
I thought that I really should
Go out and get some firewood.
While out in the forest deep,
Away the time began to creep.
Soon enough the Sun did set,
And with the dark came the fret.
As the moon took to the sky,
From the trees there came a cry.
Sounding like some hellish hound,
And shaking the very ground.
What happened next was a blur,
The truth I can just infer.
I woke underneath a tree,
Something having bitten me.
Weeks passed by without event,
Though I did feel malcontent.
And then with the waxing moon,
I felt change was coming soon.
Finally under orb of night,
I became a thing of fright.
