X is for Xena

From 1995 until 2001, I found myself at home when the clock struck 4:00 pm on Saturday. If I was I studying, that was the time I took a break. I would make my way to the TV, eagerly awaitong the latest installment of Xena: Warrior Princess. Yes, I admit, it is one of my all time favorite shows. Apparently, I am not alone either. I have recently learned that in each year of its run, Xena actually landed in the top 5 syndicated television dramas. I enjoyed it so much that I have purchased most of the seasons on DVD, and still occasionally find the time to watch an episode.

Xena never actually made it into the LEGO world. But, when Minifigures Series 10 hit stores, a rumour began to circulate around the internet. Supposedly, the Warrior Woman Minifigure was based off of Xena. She could not be called Xena for obvious copyright reasons, but she does share a striking resemblance.

I ordered this Minifigure recently off of eBay. Actually, I ordered it specifically for the A-to-Z challenge as I began to wonder what on Earth I could post about for the letter X. I have big plans for my LEGO not-Xena this summer. These photos are just the beginning!

  1. When I saw the title I thought HOLY SH*T THERE’S A XENA LEGO SET HOW DID I MISS A XENA LEGO SET??? Then I read the rest of it and settled down.

Now you’re going to have to come up with figures for Gabrielle, Joxer, Autolycus, Ares, Callisto… you’ve got quite the summer project lined up! 🙂
